Capitalism V/s Communism

Corona-virus, Pandemic, Lockdown and Independence day 2020.

Last Saturday (15 August 2020) India celebrated its 74th Independence day. Whose independence and freedom are we celebrating? Is Independent India, a setup meant to exploit the country and its people? A setup to favor a small section of society? Is there any difference between the British rule, Mogul Rule, Indian Kings, feudal and the current elected government of India? Even during British colonial rule and Mogul rule the wealthy and powerful enjoyed several privileges and only the rest of India was exploited. Same is the story even now with Police and every other institution guarding the interests of the wealthy and the powerful. And we have the world’s second largest military to protect the sovereignty of India. So all this is an arrangement to protect a system or setup to exploit the masses. Then whose freedom are we talking about on Independence day? Shouldn’t it be more precise, if we call transfer of power from British to Indian, than calling it Independence day. These are some question to be answered by the readers.

Narendra Modi took oath as Prime Minister of India on 26 May 2014. Last Saturday we celebrated seventy fourth Independence day and it was sixth Independence day after Modi took oath as prime minister. And the question is: how far did India go in development?

The answer for the above question will have different versions. But one cannot say that things are going good in India, unless he or she is a fan of Modi (Bhakths). So one can sum it up by saying that there were days in India where we used to get advice from other global leaders; ‘Give space for peace’. Narendra Modi invited Obama for the first Independence Day after he became Prime minister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s diplomatic skills and his world tour helped India maintain good relationship with countries across the globe. BJP government headed by Narendra Modi was able to win the confidence of several nations and international agencies like UNICEF, UN, etc. Especially the initiatives like building toilets in rural India, Swatch Bharath and India’s policy on issues like global warming. Surgical strike against terror launch pads in the Pakistan border on 29 September 2016 and the air strike in Balakot Pakistan on 26 February 2019 made India a country with military and defense capability. And Balakot strike was important for India or Modi ,with General election in India being due in months. If these are considered as achievements of six years of Modi government, then it is important that we think of disadvantages.

Let me start with few incidents like what happened in India soon after and before imposing the nationwide lock down. And that pretty much tells about the advantages or disadvantages.

In India the nationwide lock down started a day after Janata Curfew on 22 March 2020. And there were Muslims youths finding ways to spread the corona-virus. Some of them were using currency notes as tissue paper while sneezing and coughing. Many of them did not cooperate with medical staff and doctors. Instead choose to attack medical staff, destroying their vehicles, chasing them and even pelting stones. Such acts should be considered as act against the country. But government of India and its policies had a great role in creating such Situation.

The last Indian women caught on media saying: Pakistan Zindabad was Amlya Leona Noronha and it was not the first of its kind. It was just a continuation.

One of my Subjects in my collage was psychology and that helps me to see and relate to things beyond what is shown. We all have that habit of saying things which will hurt others and we do this to showcase our dissatisfaction. I know that political leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Narendra Modi, Trump, Obama and even the media does that. Sangh Parivar and BJP, who follow Swami Vivekananda, failed to do what Vivekananda said. Instead they are doing right opposite of what Swami Vivekananda said. Swami Vivekananda said preparing few youths with steel muscles will help to raise this country. But six years of Modi rule has moulded thousands of dissenters among youth. And our government will label them as anti-Indians. Those who say, ‘Pakistan jindabad’ are actually not fans of Pakistan or love Pakistan. But they hate India. And they hate India because law and order, justice and every other establishment is one sided and there is no scope for a different opinion. And this is evident even in Main stream media. Bark Dutt and Faye D’Souza are example of shining stars of Main stream media disappearing from Journalism. And there is no opposition party at all.

Modi Government inherited a week economy and a poor corrupted system. Six years of Modi rule did not make an attempt to fix the system, instead exploited it. BJP leaders who justify comments like; Goli maro Salone ki’ should understand that it is people who are saying Anti India slogans. So saying 'Goli Maro Salonki' is said by BJP followers like how others are saying anti-Indian slogans. BJP is the only political party who is actively preaching patriotism with Vande matharam and Bolo Bharath Matha Ki. Yet we see the number India haters are on a steady increase. It is a serious of incidents which led to the present scenario. And let me show you the glimpse of it through this video here.

The recent nationwide protest, attacks on several universities and Delhi riot was all about twenty lakh Muslims in India, whose citizenship should be banned. Let me tell you all to go watch the video here to see Prime Minister Modi addressing India six years ago and now. Check out the difference.

We all know about what happened to Rohingya’s, who were chased out of their country. Now Rohingyas are citizens of no country and an insult to mankind. So is the scenario, what CAA can create. India did nothing much to stop the illegal migration from Bangladesh. Even after six years of Modi rule the situation did not improve and that is where the government should work on. Twenty lakh Indians regardless of their origin will not be a burden for India. If there are any Hindus who needs asylum in India, then India can invite them from across the globe. Banning citizenship of twenty lakh Indians through CAA or NRC will not help India and in fact it will spoil India’s reputation globally. Another problem involved in banning citizenship for twenty lakh Indians, is the selection process of the twenty lakh Bangladeshi’s. Certain selections suggest that it is as per the whims and fantasies of some at power.

But India should definitely have NRC, because we want a database of Indian citizens, to know the head count. Government should be very serious about controlling the illegal migration and controlling the population of India. In the above video one can see Prime Minister Modi saying; “Savasi karod deshwasiyo” (one hundred and twenty five thousand crores citizens) in his initial days as Prime Minister. Now he is addressing the nation, saying; “Ek sow tis carod deshwasiyo” (One hundred thirty crore). This tells us that the population in India has gone up by Five thousand crores in the last six years. But our government is busy inciting violence and making news for banning citizenship of twenty lakh Indians.

More than two children in a family will hamper the economic growth and will become a burden for development. Hence the government should make and enforce stringent rules to control population. Government should not consider any privileges for the third child.

Days before the protest on NRC, CAA, and CAB started, there were JNU students protesting against the Hostel fee hike. It was government’s revenge against students in JNU protesting against the government few years ago. Our government should aim at providing free and quality education to all. India should go a long way in improving public education and health care. Government should stop being immature and restrain from silencing the dissenters. There were news about targeting JNU students in trains and other places from BJP supporters. ‘Why everything for free?’ is not a decent question to ask.

Ever since Modi came into power there were issues and protests in India relating to JNU, CAA, CAB, NRC, Gow Hathya, Gar Wapsi, Love jihad and the list goes endless. And some of these issues are created deliberately to divert attention of public and media. In the last six years, the government did least to create jobs in India. Several schemes like, ‘Make in India’, ‘Start up India’, ‘Skill India’, failed to create jobs. And these schemes remained as propaganda. There will be a cover story in flamesofdissent.com in the future. It is about the various government schemes in India, in the last six years. And it’s success story.

Recently Ananth Kumar Hedge, a BJP leader from Karnataka said BSNL is a disgrace for Indian economy and all BSNL employees as traitors.

It is not the BSNL employees who are corrupt. In fact the BSNL and its existence itself is a result of corrupt practices. The government wanted to sell it, maintained it the way it is. I mean an unfair business and political practice, sponsored by the ruling government. Few months ago ‘Niti Aayog’, the think tank of India came up with an idea. And the idea made one feel that the government is spending public money on ‘Niti Aayog; to find a cover up plan for allowing private companies to do telecom business in India recklessly. And the cover up plan is to make the public pay for the losses incurred out of the reckless and unfair business practices which continues even when these decisions were made by Niti Aayog. Those in telecom business are capable of hiring efficient PRO’s and Strategist’s on their own. What government should do is to bring in a law for solvency, where an operator can stay in business only with minimal conditions and violations will pave way for accusation or take over. Is this a theory which fits only to Public Sector units like BSNL, Bharath Petroleum, Air India etc? The union government wanted to sell BSNL at least a year ago. If not BSNL could have been a success story like India Postal Service.

On 30 December 2020, Ravi Shankar Prasad said that 5G spectrum is given for all players, for trail. But he did not say that 5G spectrum trail is being conducted by BSNL. BSNL got approval for 4G spectrum upgrade, only a few months ago. After all this delay, BSNL should have got an approval for 5G spectrums than wasting money on 4G now. That alone could have helped BSNL to have a good customer base in the trebled market with Aritel, Vodafone, Idea in huge debt, BSNL neither has technology nor customers and Jio is rocking. And government is spending public money carelessly.

There is one question that is being asked to me since I started flamesofdissent.com and that is; are you communist?

And always my answer was; I am not a communist and I am with people. This means there is a notion or stereotyping called communist in society. And that is another way of profiling people, sometimes even to downplay the subject. Now, I say flamesofdissent.com is with people. Being communist or a capitalist is hypothetical question. Communism was based on theories of Carl Marx and few others. But Capitalism comes from within human to do things for once well being. We seek more luxuries for which we need cash and the greed in us for money which buys luxuries, is a natural process. Communists say that everything will change other than the word ‘change’. But, the greed in human will never change. It will remain in us forever. All great inventions are products of human urge for more money and luxuries. And the order of the day is Capitalism. On the other hand, Communism exists only in few parts of the world, which is negligible. Kerala is the only state with Communist party in power. And people in Kerala will not vote for incumbent party. This means the Communist Party of India is going to lose its source for funds completely. Earlier the Communist party of India enjoyed power in West Bengal, Tripura and Kerala. They could not retrieve West Bengal, same is the story of Tripura and will be of Kerala after six years. But it is much easier to win in the next Kerala state election, which is due next year.

Will Kerala the number one state in sustainable development be able to continue with same party government after a year? flamesofdissent.com has prepared a master plan for Kerala election and the link here will open upon reaching one lakh views for this issue. Masterplan.

Capitalism works in countries like United Sate where law is enforced on all equally. Few years ago I met an Indian American. He was born in American with Indian parents and was here to do medicine. While speaking he used to say, the train company, the bus company, etc. Here bus, train belongs to government. It’s better that way, because laws in India are like Chameleon. In USA, they sue private companies for millions and here the private companies decide government. Hence, the country should appreciate second opinion or view and should stop branding it as Communism. I mean BSNL could enjoy the same success story of Indian Postal Service.

Indian diplomacy failed to maintain a friendly relationship with China. It is because China is over ambitious. China wanted to make use of this pandemic, if not virus is a biological weapon. China wanted to make use of this opportunity to push for its ‘belt and road’ initiative. But it could not do so only due to the pressure from around the world. If China’s export to India is stopped, then it is Indian economy which suffers more than Chinese economy. We can think of stopping the import of Rubber and Steel to India, only if we produce Steel and Rubber in India, If not it is better to depend on all vendors to get the best deal. India can make use of China till we start producing items imported from China. A boost in Indo-China trade alone can fix the issue in boarder. But India should always be prepared and go through military innovations continuously.

It is time to reopen Indian economy. The untold rule is; citizens are careless, when government is too concerned. The same people are more careful, when government is careless. Continued lock down only increased the number of Covid-19 patients. It will remain or increase more or less the same way it did during lock down. Reopening economy baring places of huge gathering like function-halls, Theaters, bars, limitation of passengers in train, bus and flights will keep economy afloat.
